JSC «GT Morstroy» has consistently developed Pre-project proposals for this object, a Declaration of Intent to invest in construction, Project Documentation and Detailed Design Documentation.

The facility is designed for transshipment of liquefied natural gas (LNG) from ice-class gas carriers of the Christophe De Margerie type to floating gas storage facilities, storage of LNG and subsequent loading of LNG on gas carriers without ice reinforcement for delivery to consumers.

Facilities of the Federal property includes:

The Expert Commission of the State Ecological Expertise established the compliance of the submitted documentation with the requirements of the legislation in the field of environmental protection.

LNG Temporary Offshore Transshipment Complex in the Murmansk Region was commissioned after the testing.  The test, which took place in two stages, starting from November 24, 2020, involved gas tankers «Chrostophe De Margerie», «Nikolay Yevgenov», «Yamal Spirit» and more than 10 support vessels.

On January 27-29 of this year, the planned transshipment of LNG delivered by the gas carrier with Arc7 ice class «Nikolai Zubov» from the port of Sabetta to the port of Murmansk was carried out. The cargo was reloaded at the LNG Temporary Offshore Transshipment Complex to the gas tanker with Arc4 ice-class «Yenisei River» for further delivery to consumers in China.

LLC «NOVATEK-Western Arctic» is implementing a project of the construction of the LNG Temporary offshore transshipment complex near Kildin Island in the Murmansk Region for the transshipment of liquefied natural gas from gas tankers of reinforced ice class to gas tankers without ice reinforcement with a capacity of 10.5 million tons per year.

This cargo operation is carried out in order to save transport costs for the delivery of liquefied natural gas to consumers.

We remind that the Design Institute JSC «GT Morstroy», starting in 2019, has consistently developed pre-Project proposals, Declaration of intent to invest in the construction, project and detailed design documentation for this object, and also carried out design supervision and technical support for the object construction.

The project documentation has passed all the necessary approvals and expertise.

This is the eleventh offshore transshipment complex, built according to the projects of JSC «GT Morstroy».
