    THE FIRST TRANSSHIPMENT OF LNG FROM A TANKER WITH ARC7 ICE CLASS TO A CONVENTIONAL TANKER HAS BEEN COMPLETED

    Company LLC "NOVATEK-Western Arctic" is implementing a project of the construction of a Temporary offshore transshipment complex near Kildin Island in the Murmansk Region for the transshipment of liquefied natural gas from ice-reinforced gas tankers to gas tankers without ice reinforcement with a capacity of 10.5 million tons per year

     

    This cargo operation is carried out in order to reduce transportation costs for delivering LNG to consumers

     

    On November 24, 2020, the Arc7 ice-class tanker «Nikolay Yevgenov» and the conventional tanker «Yamal Spirit» carried out the first transshipment of liquefied natural gas at the Temporary Offshore Transshipment Complex.

     

     

    We remind that the Design Institute JSC “GT Morstroy”, starting in 2019, has consistently developed pre-Project proposals, Declaration of intent to invest in the construction, project and detailed design documentation for this object, and also carried out design supervision and technical support for the construction of the object.
